Hospitality

Hospitality ensures the well-being of and superior comfort of our first time visitors and guests.  If you are visiting  Mountain of Praise and Worship for the first time, rest assured you will be given the “red carpet” treatment.

As a church family, Hospitality, aims to ensure that our first time visitors and guest divinely connect to God and His people and ultimately become members of the MPW family. 

Follow-up

The responsibility of the Follow-up Team is three-fold. . 1) They follow up all the First Time visitors to the church, 2)  They make constant contact  with  members  especially those who have missed services for one reason or another, and 3) make home visits to members  as the need arises. The Follow-up Team works closely with the pastorate, feeding back the needs of the First time visitors, new converts and members. This team is a caring team who  constantly ensures  that the needs of all groups of people listed above are met.

Sunday School

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete,thoroughly equipped for every good work. 2 Tim. 16 – 17

The responsibility of Sunday School Department is to enrich the people of God with systematic teaching of the undiluted word of God building them up in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with the purpose of discipleship for the Kingdom of God.

Bible Study

The Scripture instructs all believers to “study to show thyself approved a workman who need not be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth” (2 Tim 2:15).

Bible Study is very essential to the growth of every believer. and should be taken seriously.  We at Mountain of Praise & Worship believe that the Bible is the infallible written Word of God and as a church. We “Dig Deep” into the Word of God every Tuesday night @ 7:00pm. 
You are welcome to be apart of what God is doing in Bible Study. 

Workers In Training

All Christians have been commissioned by Christ to work in His vineyard – “He [Jesus] told them the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest therefore to send out workers into His harvest field”- Luke 10:2.

No Christian should be a “bench warmer” in church; we all come to the church with our natural gifts, talents, skills, knowledge and education. Everyone has a role to play in order to ensure the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 

Serve

Prayer

Prayer is vital to the life of the Church at RCCG Mountain of Praise & Worship.It is our connection to the Father who is our power source. Jesus said,“My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.” Mark 11:17

At Mountain of Praise & Worship, the Prayer Warriors are behind the scene fighting the spiritual battles on their knees for the success of the ministry. The prayer ministry is the powerhouse of the Church and body of Christ.

We are  dedicated to the intercessory, fervent and effectual prayers for the spiritual growth of the church, mercies, thanksgivings, healing, deliverance, salvation of mankind, breakthrough, fruitfulness and revival. Submit your prayer requests. 

Choir

“Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness.” Psalm 29:2

The choir at Mountain of Praise & Worship seeks to worship God through songs and leads the congregation in Praise &Worship. We are honored to be able to lift our voices and instruments in praise of God every Sunday during the worship service. We work diligently to present excellent music in worship so that listeners will experience the power and beauty of God through music. Although we focus on what it means to lead the congregation into worship, we also strive to build a community within the choir and encourage one another in the Lord.  The choir is always looking for new members.

Engineering

The Engineering Department is responsible for operations and maintenance of audio and video equipment of the church.

Members  of this department will provides the church with technical support for all events that require sound reinforcement such as all worship services, special programs, rehearsals and all events that will require setting up and operation of sound systems.

Ushering

For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark10:42-45

The Ushering Ministry is a very vital component at Mountain of Praise & Worship.  Ushers are responsible for helping to provide a welcoming and orderly environment during the worship services and all other activities. Ushers assist with seating, receiving offerings, serving Communion, and responding to emergencies. They look after the comfort and safety of the entire congregation.

The smile and the warm greetings from the ushers will make you feel at home.

Transportation

The Transportation Ministry  provides  transportation to and from Mountain of Praise & Worship services to worshipers in the need of transportation.

However since we  cannot accommodate everyone who wishes to ride in the church bus to church, we give priority to people without adequate or no  transportation and new comers to the City.

Protocol

The protocol department  at Mountain of Praise & Worship is a group of very happy and receptive brethren.

This Team is responsible for effectively handling the traveling, lodging, accommodation and other logistics assignments of visiting Ministers of God and Guests to the Ministry. Their role is not only to ensure a memorable experience and comfort, but also that such Guests are able to focus on their primary assignment while here. We welcome to our team, all genuine lovers of selfless-service-to-others and to God with a smiling face!

Outreach

Evangelism

Evangelism is the heartbeat of Christ. It is a direct response to the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ that we should go into the entire world and preach the gospel (Mark 16:15).  

Although evangelism is mandatory for all believers, there is a team at Mountain of Praise & Worship  that is devoted to bringing the Gospel to the local community. Our Evangelism Ministry is the platform that enables the church to accomplish the Great Commission and obey the Great Commandment of Christ which is to both reach the ends of the earth in His name and to love our neighbors as ourselves.  Join us as we go into different neighborhoods to share the word of God

Welfare

The Bible teaches us about caring for widows, the elderly and the brethren. It is the responsibility of all of God’s children to care for those who are in need. 

The Welfare department’s focus is to fulfill this requirement by giving support to those who are in need, whether it is financial support, food, visiting people in their homes to give them an encouraging word or mentoring them. We are our brother keeper and the burden of one is the burden of all.
